Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of OracleDoc ("we", "us", "our"), the AI-powered knowledge-base platform available at oracledoc.io and associated services.
By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use OracleDoc.
If you are using OracleDoc on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
The service
OracleDoc provides a platform that allows you to:
- Connect content sources (websites, files, Confluence spaces, Notion pages)
- Index and store that content
- Build AI agents that answer questions using your content via Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
We operate a cloud-based service. You will not receive access to, or a copy of, OracleDoc's underlying software or source code. We may change, improve, or discontinue features of the service with reasonable notice. We will not materially reduce core functionality without providing you an option to export your data.
Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your login credentials secure and notify us immediately at team@oracledoc.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Accounts are personal and may not be shared, resold, or transferred without our written consent.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use OracleDoc to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Index or distribute content you do not have the rights to use
- Upload malware, spam, or any malicious content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account
- Scrape or harvest data from OracleDoc in ways not permitted by these Terms
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service
- Resell or sublicense access to the service to third parties without our consent
- Use the service in a way that damages, disables, or impairs its availability for others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access immediately if we determine, at our discretion, that you have violated these rules. Where feasible we will provide prior notice and an opportunity to cure.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to index any content you connect to OracleDoc, including material obtained through third-party integrations such as Confluence and Notion.
Third-party integrations
OracleDoc can connect to third-party services (Atlassian Confluence, Notion, and publicly-accessible websites) to retrieve content you want to index. By connecting a third-party service, you:
- Represent that you have the right and authority to grant OracleDoc read access to that content
- Acknowledge that the third-party service's own terms of service govern your relationship with that service
- Understand that OracleDoc is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of any third-party service
We access third-party content on a read-only basis. We do not write, edit, or delete any content in your connected workspaces.
Your content
You retain full ownership of all content you upload to or index through OracleDoc ("Your Content"). By using the service, you grant OracleDoc a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process, store, and display Your Content solely to provide the service to you.
We do not claim any ownership rights in Your Content, and we will not use it for any purpose other than operating OracleDoc for your account.
No AI training. Your Content is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model — ours or any third party's.
You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not violate any law or any third-party rights, including privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or contractual obligations.
Intellectual property
OracleDoc and all elements of the service — including but not limited to the software, branding, design, documentation, and underlying AI models — are the exclusive property of OracleDoc and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of OracleDoc's intellectual property to you.
You are not permitted to use OracleDoc's name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written consent.
Payment & subscriptions
Fees
Certain features of OracleDoc require a paid subscription. All fees are stated in your subscription plan and are billed in the currency displayed at checkout. Unless otherwise stated, fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law or as described below.
Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will not be charged again but will retain access until then.
Pricing changes
We may change our prices at any time. If we increase the price of your current plan, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Refunds
If you believe you have been incorrectly billed, contact team@oracledoc.com within 60 days. We will review and respond in writing within 10 business days.
Termination
Either party may terminate these Terms by providing written notice. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:
- You materially breach these Terms and the breach is not cured within 30 days of written notice
- You use the service in a way that poses a security risk or legal liability
Upon termination:
- Your access to the service will cease immediately
- We will delete Your Content within 30 days of termination, unless you request earlier deletion
- Any outstanding payment obligations survive termination
Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. AI-generated responses may contain errors and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OracleDoc will not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill
- Damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service
OracleDoc's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration or the competent courts in the jurisdiction where OracleDoc is registered, at our election.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect, via email or in-app notice. Continued use of OracleDoc after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
For non-material changes (e.g., typo fixes, clarifications, new sections that add rights), we may update without advance notice, with the effective date updated at the top of this page.
